THE SIGNATURE EXPERIENCE
The Signature Ghana is a family-owned private beach estate nestled in lush and serene tropical forests and a picture-perfect beach. Located in New Ningo, an hour drive from the Accra city centre, The Signature offers a versatile setting for exclusive and private hire for functions.
The Signature experience focuses on the incredible display of the rich Ghanaian culture. The meeting rooms and lounges at the Signature have been uniquely designed by Akua Agyei, our founder. Each has its own theme, colour scheme, and design inspiration. The furnishing is rustic, stylish and comfortable and the walls are graced by impressive artworks by renowned and contemporary Ghanaian artists.
Local Ghanaian dishes, drinks and music are the order of the day, and the natural beauty of the surroundings lends itself to several diverse experiences from quad biking and horse riding to tours of the local fishing villages, including palace visits to experience the rich culture and traditions of the local chiefs.
The feeling of family resonates throughout The Signature, where each team member is considered part of the family. It is also critical to everyone at The Signature that our guests feel that same sense of familiarity when they visit us—a sense of belonging and comfort—as if they have come home to their personal holiday resort.
SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE INITIATIVES
In contrast to the trend towards urbanisation and consumerism, many people seek an opportunity to get close to natureand The Signature is part of this movement. Our investments and partnerships over the past 5 years have supported education, community service and environmental preservation. Our goal is to make a substantial and sustainable impact in the lives of our neighbouring communities. Thanks to our big-hearted guests, we have continually expanded our philanthropic efforts, corporate support and fundraising events.
PARTNERSHIP WITH EVOLVIN WOMEN
We are committed to promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace and in communities. We are proud to be sponsors of Evolvin Women, This sustainable tourism initiative aims to financially empower and provide livelihood opportunities to women.
In 2018, in partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority,the program provided 15 young Ghanaian women with access to vocational training, international work experience for 12 months within the hospitality industry in Dubai in view of securing full-time paid employment on their return to Ghana. After this first group of graduates, we plan to continue vocational training in the tourism industry and help more women get the skills they need for a brighter future.
THE AFRICAN ART EXCHANGE
As the world battles to come to terms with the human and economic impact of Covid-19, we are acutely aware of the challenges facing communities and conservation projects in our community. Even though our doors are closed, The Signature continues to support critical community and conservation projects.
Through our charitable project, The African Art Exchange, we have been raising funds for Ghana’s COVID-19 efforts by organising silent auctions of African paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, illustrations and photographs, which have been generously donated by our patrons.
